In other news, Jamie is going through a sci-fi phase and just read "Three Body Problem" by 刘慈欣 (Liu Cixin) translated by Ken Liu. Melinda also just read "Marriage of a Thousand Lies" by by SJ Sindu. She has a history as a CA labor organizer and lawyer, where her work with Thai garment workers in the El Monte sweatshop case led to legislation increasing manufacturer responsibility for subcontractor worker and human rights violations.
🔦 Our friends over at the YAPPIE recently reported on AAPI Progressive Action's demands on the Biden administration's action to make structural change and increase efforts to addressing inequality and rising violence in the Asian American community.
